YOUR WORKSPACE. YOUR DATA.

How ClipRiff handles your data

Updated October 29, 2026 · current service setup

Google sign-in

Google handles sign-in and its security checks. ClipRiff keeps an internal account ID linked to Google’s account identifier, plus revocable sign-in sessions. It does not keep a ClipRiff password or copy your Google email, name, picture or profile into your sign-in record.

Your connected accounts

You authorize cloud storage and social accounts separately. ClipRiff encrypts the access credentials it needs to use those connections. A temporary YouTube authorization awaiting your channel choice expires after 30 minutes; cleanup removes expired temporary credentials.

Disconnecting removes ClipRiff’s saved credentials and holds unsent work for that account. It does not revoke the authorization at Google, Microsoft or Dropbox, delete files in your cloud account, or remove posts already published. You can manage provider access in that provider’s settings.

Media stays in your cloud

Your originals and saved finished clips belong in your connected cloud storage. ClipRiff uses bounded temporary copies for processing, review, posting and cloud saves. Temporary files become eligible for removal after 24 hours unused. Work that still needs a file keeps it available.

Workspace and payment records

ClipRiff keeps the preferences, selected-file details, permission statements, clips, approvals, schedules and processing records needed to run your workspace. It also keeps plan, usage and payment-provider references. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider.

Expired sign-in records

Ended sign-in sessions and completed or expired connection-attempt records are eligible for cleanup after 30 days. Removing these records does not disconnect an active account or remove your workspace.

Account-access removal

Account-access removal is currently handled by support. It pauses the workspace, disconnects accounts and removes ClipRiff’s sign-in links, sessions and saved connection credentials. Provider authorization is not revoked by this operation.

Workspace content and billing records remain paused and disconnected; this operation does not erase them. A later Google sign-in creates a new, empty ClipRiff account. An internal status record remains to keep existing records consistent.
